To end off Women’s Month, the Stellenbosch traffic department conducted an all-women integrated roadblock last Wednesday (31 August), with various safety stakeholders from the district, including local police officers and other Stellenbosch Safety Partnership (SSP) role-players. The integrated roadblock was set up near Cloetesville, on the R44 outbound in the direction of Klapmuts. The on-duty officials checked motorists’ licences, the validity of vehicle licences and vehicles’ roadworthiness, searched vehicles and more.Photos: Francois Lombard
