Rhenish Old Girls hosted its very first business breakfast networking event at De Volkskombuis in Stellenbosch on Friday 20 October. Throughout the decades Rhenish Girls’ High School has nurtured many talented and confident women, and this event was an opportunity to bring some of these women together to celebrate one another and to learn from each other. Many of the old girls who attended own businesses in Stellenbosch, such as the event’s guest speaker Jeanneke Malan. She spoke on how she had come to own a home décor and lifestyle products store, Mia Mélange, sharing the mission and vision of the business and how she strives to help her local community through job creation for local women. Malan further commended her alma mater. “Rhenish played a massive role in my journey, fostering the belief that women can do anything.” The event also reiterated the school motto “Once a Rhenisher, always a Rhenisher”, as those who leave the school maintain an unbreakable bond – women who matriculated in 1986 were connecting with women who matriculated in 2018.Foto:
