Eric Kotzé of Rhenish Primary recently participated in the South African Swimming Championship in Gqeberha. He competed nationally and against visiting swimmers from India, Zimbabwe and Namibia. He came first in the 50 m butterfly mixed heat for his age group with a personal best time of 29,99 seconds and finished third in the final in a time of 30,10 seconds. Eric took second place in the 50 m backstroke final, fourth place in the 50m free style, which was a very tight race, swimming a Personal Best time of 27,99 seconds, the winning time 27,39 seconds. He finished 4th in the 100 m Backstroke and in the top eight for 50 m breaststroke.
