PRG star athletes enjoy recognition

Joshua Acker (left) and Handré Nel, learners of Paul Roos Gimnasium, were invited to the 2022 Coca-Cola Boland Athletics Achiever Awards held last Friday (2 December). Joshua was named best male athlete at high-school level and best under-18 field athlete, and also won the award for best under-18 male performance in a dominant year. His awards are based on his successes in shot put (South African schools’ champion with a new record and silver at the Athletics South Africa (ASA) Age Group Championships). Handré was awarded a four-star award for winning a medal at the ASA Age Group Championships in the pole vault.Foto:
