Eleven athletes of Paul Roos Gymnasium represented Boland at the Athletics South Africa u-16, u-18 and u-20 National Track and Field Championships held at the North-West University McArthur Athletics Stadium in Potchefstroom from Thursday 31 March to Saturday 2 April. The athletes qualified to represent Boland after they had met stringent qualifying times, distances and heights, and shone on the country’s biggest youth athletics stage. Clockwise: Joshua Acker (u-18 shot put) and Reuben van der Merwe (u-16 javelin) both won silver medals in their respective events, while Zak Hickman (u-16 hammer throw) and Handre Nel (u-18 pole vault) won bronze medals.
