Officers stationed at Stellenbosch Police Station swopped their blue uniforms for glamorous evening wear as they attended the annual Stellenbosch Police Excellence Awards at Protea Hotel Technopark last Friday (6 December). The award ceremony, an initiative started by station commander Brigadier Sandile Sonjani last year, recognised and praised the hard work of police officers of the local station throughout the year. It also acted as the official farewell of Brigadier Brian Muller, former Vispol head of Stellenbosch police, who was promoted to station commander of Mitchells Plain police at the beginning of August. Muller was stationed at Stellenbosch Police Station from February 2019 and was an integral part of the station management team. Pictured is Sonjani handing over a special farewell gift to Muller.
