The successes that certain Rhenish Girls’ High learners’ have recently achieved are really worth boasting about.
Yvonne Makwara participated in the Western Cape Regional Rounds of the Poetry for Life competition on 4 March. Yvonne has been selected to participate in the next round of the competition on 22 April.
Ashlyn Klinkradt has received the Youth Hero for LeadSA Award for February 2017 in recognition of her outreach and community service through her non-profit organisation, Raising Hope SA.
Bree Mallam and Cayla Johnson have been selected for the 2017 Western Cape livesaving team that will participate in the Inter-Regional and South African Championships, taking place in Port Elizabeth from 6 April to 8 April.
Courtney Green won the Junior Ladies Nationals for stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) on Saturday 4 March. She has secured a sponsorship from Signature surf and skate for 2017.
Carli Antonopoulos participated in the South African Open Water championships on Saturday 4 March. She came 6th in the 10 km swim (a Ladies’ Open Event) and she came 1st in the 5 km (14-16 year girls’ event).
Christi Noades made the WP under-15 team for Biathlon Girls.
She came second at WP Champs on 28 February and will be participating at the nationals on 8 April in Paarl.
