Calling Academy takes silver medal at Top Schools

The u-15 chess team of Calling Academy was awarded the silver medal at the Cape Winelands Top Schools chess competition last week in Worcester. The boys lost narrowly to Paul Roos (2-4). Basheer Abrahams and Kaylum Daniels were awarded prizes as number 3 and 4 players, respectively, in their age group on the day. Calling Academy and Paul Roos will now represent the u-15 Cape Winelands at the Western Cape Top Schools Competition where schools from across the province will battle it out for the crown as top u-15 chess team in the Western Cape.
