Another successful netball tourney in Stellenbosch

Stephanie Carinus, goalkeeper of the Blue Cranes netball team, in action against the Eagles in the Section A final of the 2024 ClemenGold District Netball Tournament. The annual tournament was held at Rhenish Girls’ High School from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 February, with the Blue Cranes walking away as champions of the section, while the team from the University of the Western Cape was crowned Section B winners. Spanning under-8 through to the under-19 age group, the round-robin tournament was established three years ago with the aim of further developing high-performance netball players in the Western Cape. Carinus was named player of the final, a match in which her team clinched a 25-19 victory.
