• Stellenbosch: Mathys Roets, Liesl du Toit en Matthys Maree bring om 19:00 hulde aan Leonard Cohen by die DROSTDY-TEATER. Roets is een van die min plaaslike kunstenaars wat Cohen werklik gestand kan doen. In Songs of Leonard Cohen word outentieke Cohen gemeng met unieke Roets – so eenders, maar tog so anders. • Stellenbosch: Celebrate Women’s Day with The Wine Walk at MURATIE WINE ESTATE, starting at the Dirtopia Trail Centre from 09:00. Participants will be welcomed with a mimosa before following signs to the look-out point on the mountain above the cellar, offering panoramic views of Simonsberg and Table Mountain. At the top, guests will be treated to a tasting of four Muratie wines – two whites and two reds. Children under 18 will receive a juice instead of wine. The distance of the hike is 3,5 km and the cost is R175 per adult. Participants must wear closed walking or hiking shoes and take along a backpack with water, a hat, jacket, and optional snacks. The route includes over 200 wooden steps and varied terrain, so a reasonable fitness level is advised. Bookings are essential by noon on Friday 8 August. Limited tickets available.
