Police are investigating a quadruple murder after four men were shot dead in Site C, Khayelitsha, Saturday night (26 September).

Police responded to the scene in Mthuma Street, at about 19:15 and found three men with multiple gunshot wounds. Two were inside a stationary vehicle, while the third was found next to it. All three were declared dead at the scene.

A fourth victim, who had also been shot, was taken to a medical facility in a private vehicle but died on arrival.

Provincial police spokesperson, Col Andrè Traut said according to information gathered at the scene, the victims were inside the vehicle when they were shot. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no suspect has been identified or arrested.

He said the motive has not been established.

Western Cape police management has appealed to anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
