New Horizon College in Bethlehem achieved a 100% pass rate in the 2021 National Senior Certificate examinations.

Of last year’s matriculants, 75% attained a bachelor pass, 21% attained a diploma pass and 4% pulled off a higher certificate pass.

The school’s top five matriculants are: Tshegofatso Boikanyo, with five distinctions; Lisebo Lesupi and Sibusiso Malindi with three distinctions each; and Palessa Makgalemele and Thamsang Nelani with two distinctions each.

New Horizon College in Harrismith achieved a 99% pass rate, 81,52% of matriculants attained a bachelor pass and 15,22% attained a diploma pass.

Naledi Lehola from Harrismith is one of the top 100 achievers in the province, with seven distinctions. Asandamawelase Mazibuko has five distinctions, Masabata Pakkies four and Nonhlanhla Ndaba, Nosipho Khumalo, Refiloe Mathebula, Vuyelwa Semelo and Hlengiwe Tshabalala three distinctions each.

We would also like to thank the directors of New Horizon College, loyal management and staff, parents and learners for dedication and hard work to achieve these excellent results,” says Johnny Eyberg, chief executive officer.

Phillip Pekesche, principal, says that the class of 2021 has demonstrated that positive action, combined with positive thinking, resulted in success.
