The Cape Winelands District Municipality recently held its prestigious annual sports awards.<\/p>\n
Athletes from across Cape Winelands were lauded for their hard work during the past season.<\/p>\n
The event was held at Kronenburg Wine Estate recently. The Breede Valley Municipality and the Langeberg Municipality walked away with five awards altogether.<\/p>\n
Worcester Gymnasium\u2019s 500 kg ladies tug of war team walked away with the team of the year accolade.<\/p>\n
Robertson High School\u2019s 520 tug of war (TOW) mixed team was awarded School team of the year.<\/p>\n
Touws River\u2019s u-15 netball team, from De Kruine Secondary, recently participated in the Motsepe Tournament and was awarded the Developing School Team of the year.<\/p>\n
Zwelethemba local Theo Modise was recognised for his Technical Excellence in Boxing.<\/p>\n
Angelique van Jaarsveld, part of Worcester Gymnasium tug o\u2019 war team, walked away with the Junior Sportswoman of the Year award for the sport.<\/p>\n
