Vyf fietsryers van die Prim\u00eare Skool Worcester<\/a> (WPS) het die uitdagende Munga Equipe-fietsren op 26 November aangepak. Di\u00e9 aflos-ren, wat oor ‘n afstand meer as 1\u2009000\u2009km beslis is, word as een van die moeilikste bergfietsuitdagings gereken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die WPS-span het bestaan uit die skoolhoof, Wimpie Blom, die onderwysers Ilze Cordier en Andr\u00e9 Cilliers, Ryno Palm (‘n ouer) en Jaco van Dyk, wat die skool ondersteun.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baie ure se oefen en voorbereiding het die span se deelname voorafgegaan.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die fietsryers het in Bloemfontein weggespring en by die Doolhof-wynplaas in Wellington ge\u00ebindig. Gedurende di\u00e9 vyf dae moes die span diep delf om elk hul deel van die roete deur die harde landskappe van die Karoo te voltooi.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die fietsryers het di\u00e9 uitdagende ren aangepak ter wille van liefdadigheid en dit het hulle aangespoor om aan te hou trap \u2013 selfs al het die kilometers hul bene lam laat voel.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Die grootste uitdaging was dat elke been van die ren sy eie uitdagings gehad het \u2013 van wind, hael en re\u00ebn tot onrybare grond en donker aande. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Die laaste uitdaging was die verstandelike voorbereiding en jou geestestoestand oor elke meter wat gery moes word,” s\u00ea Blom oor die ervaring, wat hom nog lank sal bybly.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dit was ‘n belewenis om deel te kon wees van ‘n fantastiese span en om die menslikheid te kon ervaar van almal wat deel was van die Munga.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy is dankbaar dat hy die ren, wat hy aan die Here en sy dogter opgedra het, kon voltooi.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Van die grootste hoogtepunte was dat die WPS<\/a> kon deelneem en die engele wat oor almal se paaie gestuur is om die avontuur ‘n sukses te maak.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy s\u00ea voorts hulle het ongelooflike ondersteuning van die personeel en ouers ontvang.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
