Khwezi Youth Developers, in partnership with Kidz of Education, will host a Heritage Day sports event at Oom Tey\u2019s Phola Park in Zwelethemba on Thursday 24 September <\/p>\n
The aim of the day is to educate the youth about respecting each other\u2019s cultures and to raise funds to buy school uniforms for at least 500 disadvantaged learners in Zwelethemba.<\/p>\n
The theme of the day will be \u201cYour child is my child. Let\u2019s keep poverty away\u201d.<\/p>\n
Games that will be played on the day include soccer, netball, pool and dominoes. There will also be a car wash.<\/p>\n
The organisers have received donations from Breede Valley Municipality and Cape Winelands District Municipality, and are sponsoring meals for 200 people and the sound system.<\/p>\n
The sports day will take place on the corner of Hlalela and Mqwebedu streets from 09:00 until 18:00. <\/p>\n
