The community of Nduli in Ceres is buzzing after an armed robbery which took place at the local supermarket ended in a shoot-out.<\/p>\n
According to a spokesperson of the Ceres police, two unknown suspects entered U-Save in Nduli and demanded, at gun-point, that everyone lie on the ground.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne suspect kicked an employee of U-Save in the face and demanded that he open the safe in the cash office.\u201d<\/p>\n
One of the safes was opened and R1 500 was taken. The second safe has a time delay and could not open. They then fled the shop, after they took a community worker\u2019s cellphone. <\/p>\n
When they left the shop they started shooting at police officers who had responded. <\/p>\n
One police officer was wounded after which the suspects fled the scene.<\/p>\n
