Die verklaring lui as volg: \u201cOns familie is Sondag 7 Augustus deur Huis Maudie Kriel in kennis gestel van ons moeder se afsterwe. Hierdie is vir ons \u2019n baie moeilike tyd en ons sukkel om vrede te maak met baie aspekte rakende die voorval, juis omdat ons baie vrae en min antwoorde het. Ons moeder was \u2019n saggeaarde mens met \u2019n sagte stemmetjie en die beweerde wyse waarop sy gesterf het, breek ons op die oomblik. Tans wag ons op die uitslae van die ondersoeke wat gelas is en hoop om s\u00f3 meer antwoorde op ons vrae te kan kry. Ons as familie wil graag almal bedank vir hul ondersteuning en vra dat die media ons eers kans gee om ons moeder ter ruste te l\u00ea voor ons enige verdere vrae gaan beantwoord of onderhoude sal toestaan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sagrya is glo die Saterdagaand (6 Augustus) na buite geneem om te gaan rook en is vermoedelik buite die tehuis vergeet. Sy is Sondagoggend 7 Augustus om 07:45 dood op die toneel aangetref.<\/p>\n<p>\n <i>Standard<\/i> het ook self navraag by die polisie gedoen oor hul vordering in die ondersoek na die omstandighede wat na Engelbrecht se raaiselagtige dood gelei het. <\/p>\n<p>Die polisie het die volgende geantwoord: \u201cDie omstandighede rakende die dood van \u2019n vrou by \u2019n tehuis vir bejaardes in Ceres word ondersoek,\u201d het die provinsiale polisiewoordvoerder, AO Joseph Swartbooi, ges\u00ea. <\/p>\n<p>\u2019n Navraag is aan die tehuis gestuur oor die vordering in hul ondersoek wat tot die dood van die 81-jarige inwoner gelei het.
