Worcester Cricket Club outstaged the team of Brandvlei in all aspects on the cricket pitch on Saturday (19 November) when its team won with 96 runs in 15.2 overs.<\/p>\n
Worcester won the toss and elected to bowl first. From the first ball bowled they showed excellent bowling techniques, restricting their Brandvlei counterparts to only a few runs. <\/p>\n
Wickets then continued to fall at regular intervals with Ubaid Ullah as bowler for Worcester CC, and the opposing cricket club were bowled out for a mere 95 runs.<\/p>\n
Worcester went in to bat with Morne Scholtz and Delbrin Arendse taking on the bowlers fiercely right from the start. <\/p>\n
Brenden Groenewald continued the onslaught when the first and only wicket fell, as Worcester chased down the winning number of 96 in 15.2 overs.<\/p>\n
Worcester\u2019s best bowlers were Ullah (3\/22) and Weum Rabie (2\/16). The best batsmen were Brenden Groenewald (34) and Morne Scholtz (31).<\/p>\n
