{"id":51098,"date":"2023-02-27T06:01:22","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T04:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/worcesterstandard\/commkidz-projek-vorder-20230222-2\/"},"modified":"2023-02-27T06:01:22","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T04:01:22","slug":"commkidz-projek-vorder-20230222-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/worcesterstandard\/commkidz-projek-vorder-20230222-2\/","title":{"rendered":"CommKidz-projek vorder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vir baie kinders word skoolgaan as vanselfsprekend ervaar, maar vir talle ander is dit nie eens naastenby \u2019n werklikheid nie. <\/p>\n<p>Die tweede Millennium-ontwikkelingsdoelwit van die Verenigde Nasies (VN) het die bereiking van universele prim\u00eare onderwys teen 2015 ingesluit, wat ook kinders met gestremdhede insluit. <\/p>\n<p>Hierdie doelwit is egter vir miljoene kinders met fisieke en intellektuele gestremdhede nog ver van die werklikheid. <\/p>\n<p>Hoewel sommige kinders met gestremdhede in staat is om spesiale dagsorgsentrums by te woon, is sommige van hierdie sentrums ontoeganklik vir kinders wat in landelike gebiede woon, party het nie die kapasiteit nie en\/of word beperk deur streng regeringsbeleid en is nie in staat om in die behoeftes van alle kinders met gestremdhede te voorsien nie.<\/p>\n<p>Baie kinders word steeds van enige vorm van onderwys uitgesluit \u2013 veral di\u00e9 wat in landelike gebiede woon. <\/p>\n<p>Die Breedevallei APD het egter in Augustus 2018 \u2019n nuwe projek, CommKidz, in samewerking met een van ons finansierders, die Kinderfonds-mamas, begin. <\/p>\n<p>Die projek word deur \u2019n arbeidsterapeut geko\u00f6rdineer en fokus daarop om toeganklike opvoedkundige ontwikkeling, fisieke ontwikkeling, emosionele ontwikkeling, opleiding en stimulasie te bied aan kinders met gestremdhede, wat nie toegang tot spesiale dagsorgsentrums of vroe\u00eb kindersontwikkelingsentrums het nie, deur die implementering van \u2019n individuele ontwikkelingsplan tuis te bevorder.<\/p>\n<p>Verdere doelwitte van die program sluit die volgende in: <span>.<\/span> Om kinders tussen 0 en 18 jaar met gestremdhede, wat nie toegang tot spesiale dagsorgsentrums\/vroe\u00ebkinderontwikkeling-sentrums in die Breedevallei-omgewing, insluitend Worcester, Touwsrivier, De Doorns en Rawsonville het nie, te identifiseer. <span>.<\/span> Om \u2019n tuis- individuele ontwikkelingsplan saam met die kind met \u2019n gestremdheid en hul versorgers op te stel, te implementeer en fasiliteer. <span>.<\/span> Om deurlopend ondersteuning, opvoeding en leiding aan die versorgers van die kind met \u2019n gestremdheid met die implementering van \u2019n tuis- individuele ontwikkelingsplan te voorsien.<span>.<\/span> Om die ontwikkeling van die kind met \u2019n gestremdheid tuis op te volg en volgens die tuis- individuele ontwikkelingsplan te evalueer.<span>.<\/span> Om in vennootskap met die versorgers te pleit vir toelating tot spesiale dagsorgsentrums, spesiale skole, hoofstroomskole en\/of LSEN-skole.<\/p>\n<p>Die CommKidz projek bied tans aan altesaam 35 kinders met gestremdhede dienste in onderskeie gemeenskappe. Vervoer en die beperkte kapasiteit van spesiale dagsorgsentrums bly \u2019n uitdaging, maar ten spyte daarvan poog die projek steeds voortdurend om vir kinders met \u2019n gestremdheid \u2019n geleentheid te skep waar toepaslike skoolplasing vir hulle \u2019n werklikheid kan word. <span>.<\/span> Die BVAPD se arbeidsterapeut, mev. J. George, ko\u00f6rdineer tans die CommKidz-projek. <\/p>\n<p>Indien enigiemand dalk verdere navrae het of weet van \u2019n kind met \u2019n gestremdheid wat by die projek sal kan baat vind, kan ons
