Die finaliste vir hierdie jaar se Sanlam-Boland-Top-12-kompetisie word Saterdag (25 November) op die Boland-rugbystadion in Wellington bepaal.<\/p>\n

Robertson Town, wat reeds verlede week tot die halfeindronde deurgedring het, het die Van Rhynsdorp Eagles die afgelope Saterdag (18 November) in \u2019n wedstryd, wat slegs van akademiese belang was, op die Van Zylstraat-sportveld met 77-36 oorrompel en speel in die een halfeindstryd teen Wesbank. <\/p>\n

Ook Safcol van Grabouw het vroe\u00ebr reeds vir die halfeindronde gekwalifiseer. Hy kom teen Darling in die ander halfeindstryd te staan.<\/p>\n

Town en Safcol, wat al twee hul Top-12-veldtogte onoorwonne afgesluit het, lyk in hierdie stadium na die gunstelinge om die eindstryd te haal, maar verrassings is natuurlik nie uitgesluit nie.<\/p>\n

Town, \u2019n voormalige Boland-klubkampioen, was vanjaar in die Grootuitdaagbekerliga stadig uit die wegspringblokke, maar het mettertyd op dreef gekom en met rasse skrede in die tweede helfte verbeter. <\/p>\n

Hy het sy goeie spelpeil gehandhaaf en is n\u00e1 afhandeling van die ligawedstryde as die Bre\u00eb-Langebergstreekwenner aangewys. Sedertdien het hy elke span teen wie hy te staan gekom het, die knie laat buig.<\/p>\n

Daarenteen het Safcol vanjaar net so goed gedoen. Nie net het hy die Overbergstreek verower nie, maar Safcol is ook vroe\u00ebr vanjaar as die Saldanha-Super-8-kampioen gekroon. <\/p>\n

Dit het gevolg nadat hy op uitnodiging van die organiseerders tot die Paasfeestoernooi toegelaat is. Safcol het vriend en vyand met sy spel in die toernooi verras en die titel teen die verwagting gewen.<\/p>\n

Tog moet Darling en Wesbank allermins vlak gekyk word. Al twee di\u00e9 spanne is self sterk mededingers is die huidige kompetisie. <\/p>\n

Wesbank het slegs een Top-12-wedstryd in vanjaar se kompetisie verloor, terwyl Darling drie oorwinnings uit vyf wedstryde behaal het.<\/p>\n

Hoe dit ook al sy \u2013 rugbyondersteuners kan hierdie naweek uitsien na \u2019n goeie dosis klubrugby op sy beste op die Boland-stadion. <\/p>\n

Die trane gaan egter vir seker ook vloei \u2013 trane van vreugde, maar ook trane van teleurstelling, want slegs twee spanne kan in die eindronde speel.<\/p>\n
