A Man from Zwelethemba was ambushed and kidnapped by three unknown suspects. <\/p>\n
The incident unfolded on Sunday 10 December when the victim arrived home at 03:00.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe parked his car next to his house, got out, collected some bags from the car and went into the house,\u201d WO Vathiswa Jacobs, a spokesperson for the Worcester police. <\/p>\n
\u201cAs he turned around to lock the front door three men stood there pointing guns at him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The three suspects, all wearing balaclavas, forced their way into the house.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey then tied the victim\u2019s hands and used pepper spray on him,\u201d Jacobs said. \u201cThey demanded money and searched his house for valuables.\u201d <\/p>\n
Not long after the suspects took the victim outside, put him in his car and \u201cdrove him to an ATM, where they ordered him to make a cash withdrawal of an undisclosed amount of money,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey again drove off with the victim before dropping him behind Hextex.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also explained that after the suspects got to where they left the victim the three of them started arguing with one another.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of the suspects wanted to shoot the victim, but the others disagreed with this and the three of them started arguing about this. Eventually they left the man and his car there and fled from the scene.\u201d <\/p>\n
Jacobs said the victim knew his attackers.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe didn\u2019t want to make a case because he knew who the suspects were as he is a member of the neighbourhood watch where he lives. <\/p>\n
