In the heart of Zwelethemba, Lungisa \u201cMshira\u201d Bushwana stands as a beacon of hope and action. Known for his contributions to the community through a soup kitchen during the pandemic, Bushwana\u2019s dedication to serving his community has taken on a new form; restoring dignity, one painted house at a time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I see the need for something to be done I take the initiative to serve my community,\u201d Bushwana shared, his commitment rooted in a rich political family background, where serving others is not just a duty but a heartfelt mandate. \u201cFor me it comes from my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bushwana\u2019s initiative began with a simple act, rallying his friends to assist in painting a house that had been ravaged by fire. \u201cI just thought I was helping\u201d he reflected. \u201cBut I saw that it brought back the dignity of the household.\u201d Inspired by the impact of his actions, Bushwana has since painted more than five houses in 2023 alone.<\/p>\n
This year he continues his mission without a set target, making himself available to the community until May. Already, four houses have been given a new lease on life through his efforts. \u201cIdentifying these houses does not come from targeting a specific demographic,\u201d Bushwana explained. \u201cIt\u2019s about restoring dignity to anyone in need, whether they\u2019re elderly or working hard to put food on the table and cant afford household maintenance.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite his involvement in the entertainment space as a DJ, where he showcases his skills in clubs and in the events industry under his company Mshira Solutions, where he has hosted notable events such as the funeral of the late Gospel Singer Lundi Tyamara, Bushwana remains deeply committed to the advancement of Zwelethemba.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy passion for serving my community goes beyond any professional endeavour,\u201d said Bushwana. \u201cI believe in making a tangible difference in the lives of those around me, regardless of their circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n
