‘n Groep bekommerde ouers het Dinsdagoggend (3 Maart) voor Bre\u00ebrivier Senior Sekond\u00eare Skool in Worcester hul misnoe\u00eb oor veiligheidstoestande by die skool met plakkate te kenne gegee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die skool, wat tussen Avianpark en Rivierview gele\u00eb is, sukkel al maande lank met toegangsbeheer, nadat die heining wat aan Avianpark se kant is, weer stukkend geknip en gesteel is kort nadat dit vroe\u00ebr ook gesteel is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die ouers is bekommerd oor hul kinders se veiligheid, omdat enigeen nou toegang tot die skoolterrein het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Net verlede week was hier weer gangsters in skooltyd<\/a> tussen die geboue in en het kinders met klippe gegooi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hulle pla ook die onderwysers terwyl hulle klasgee,” het Natashya Kustoor ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vroe\u00ebr is ‘n skooldogter op die skoolterrein van haar selfoon beroof nadat ‘n man gedreig het om haar te skiet as sy nie haar selfoon aan hom oorhandig nie.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dit kan nie so aangaan nie. Ons is baie bekommerd oor of ons kinders veilig is hier. Dit gaan al maande lank so aan,” het Kustoor ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stewiger heining<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Die ouers het ges\u00ea ‘n draadheining gaan net weer gesteel word en die onderwysdepartement sal ‘n stewiger heining moet oprig.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten tyde van Standard Breederivier Gazette se besoek Dinsdagoggend net n\u00e1 09:00, het skoolkinders in die strate voor die skool rondgedwaal terwyl die personeel glo in ‘n vergadering was.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vroe\u00ebr het sommige onderwysers ges\u00ea dit is moeilik vir hulle om dissipline toe te pas as kinders kom en gaan, soos dit hulle pas.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intussen s\u00ea Millicent Merton, ‘n woordvoerder van die Wes-Kaapse onderwysdepartement<\/a> (WKOD), dat die voortdurende vervanging van heinings weens diefstal nie ‘n lewensvatbare opsie is nie, en dus word alternatiewe ondersoek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merton het gereageer op ‘n navraag deur Standard Breederivier Gazette nadat die onge\u00efdentifiseerde liggaam van ‘n vroulike persoon Sondag (22 Februarie) binne die perseel van Bre\u00ebrivier Senior Sekond\u00eare Skool gevind is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Merton het die departement kennis geneem van die kommer oor die afwesigheid van veilige omheining by die skool. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons Veilige Skole-komponent het voorheen die installering van sowat 30 meter se heining gefasiliteer, wat daarna gesteel is.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons ondersoek tans opsies om die skool te ondersteun en om te verseker dat enige toekomstige installasie teen soortgelyke voorvalle beskerm word.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons doen ‘n beroep op gemeenskappe om waaksaam te wees \u2013 ons skole is ook hul bates en ons vra dat enige verdagte gedrag onmiddellik aangemeld sal word,” het Merton bygevoeg. – Enrico Claassen en Ron\u00e9l van Jaarsveld<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
