Strong women build strong communities. One such woman is Selistien Moses from Ashbury, who was recently recognised for her hard work, passion and commitment to uplifting herself and her community at the Clover Mama Afrika Awards Summit held in Mossel Bay.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moses won the Clover Mama Afrika<\/a> Best Business Award for her excellent business development in 2024. She was also named one of the three Clover Mama Afrika Ambassador for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These awards provide a platform for the Mamas to be recognised for their growth and development, for their increase in revenue, and development in their skills and community upliftment. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fittingly, the theme for this year’s awards was “Deeply rooted in strength, united in sisterhood”.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moses started the Khayalethu Care Centre to help all children in need of love, care and nurturing. She now cares for more than 80 elderly and more than 300 children. She has developed business endeavours in bread baking, food gardening and flower arranging, to name just a few.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clover Mama Afrika is a sustainable corporate social-investment project that has been running since 2001. Over the years the project has hosted 1 917 training sessions with skills transferred to 16 016 community members. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It teaches and guides strong females (lovingly called “Mamas” due to their standing in their neighbourhoods) in communities all over the country, to build their skills and sustain and improve their own community projects.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only the most committed women are selected to join the Clover Mama Afrika family<\/a>. These women care for society’s most vulnerable: orphaned and abandoned children, the elderly and those living with HIV\/Aids. Through their dedication and compassion they continue to be pillars of strength and hope in the hearts of their communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
