Now in its fourth year, the Sanitary Pad Vending Machine Programme implemented by Umoya Energy Wind Farm, in partnership with the Menstruation Foundation, continues to make a meaningful impact on local communities. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its launch in 2023 the initiative has prioritised consistent and dignified access to sanitary products, currently supporting around 1 400 girls each month at selected schools and community facilities. At the heart of the programme are compact, non-electric vending machines installed in bathrooms and sick bays, enabling girls to access sanitary products privately. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This sustainable model ensures reliable, ongoing access, setting it apart from once-off donation drives. Learners are also educated in menstrual health and hygiene. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond the core programme surplus stock has been distributed to local organisations, including Moorreesburg police station, Siyabonga Care Village and Aalwyn Place of Safety, extending support to girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
