Munisipale infrastruktuur en beoogde vernuwingsprojekte vir Vredenburg en Saldanha bied geleenthede vir plaaslike sakelui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Saldanhabaai-munisipaliteit word verskeie samewerkingsprojekte van stapel gestuur. Volgens David Joubert, bestuurder: risikobestuur, word hard gewerk om hierdie projekte \u2019n werklikheid te maak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daar heers kommer dat heelparty plaaslike sakelui nie bewus is van die proses van openbare deelname waarvolgens inligting oor die projekte gedeel word nie. Verlede Donderdag het Joubert aan die Weskus Sakekamer terugvoering gegee oor die vordering van munisipale langtermynprojekte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Groot ekonomiese ontwikkelings soos die nywerheidsontwikkelingsone bring \u2019n verhoging in bevolkingsgroei mee. In die sensusopname van 2011 het Saldanhabaai-munisipaliteit sowat 99 193 inwoners gehad met \u2019n jaarlikse 4%-groeikoers, met \u2019n moontlike 6%-verhoging, danksy sake-ontwikkelings soos die Saldanha-nywerheidsone. Daar word verwag dat hierdie getal teen 2031 by 318 000 kan trek. Die huidige waterverbruik van slegs nywerhede staan al op meer as 8 miljoen kiloliter water per jaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saldanhabaai-munisipaliteit se algehele begroting trek vanjaar by meer as R1 miljard en besteding van die kapitale begroting op basiese dienslewering is \u2019n prioriteit. Hiermee saam ook die opgradering en bou van infrastruktuur om die verwagte druk op die voorsiening van water, elektrisiteit en rioleringstelsels te kan hanteer. Verskeie vernuwingsprojekte word beplan soos die Vredenburg-vernuwingsprojek, die Saldanha-vernuwingsprojek en die R40 miljoen opgradering van Oostewalstraat in Langebaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die provinsiale regering gaan in hierdie boekjaar R500 miljoen in die Saldanhabaai-gebied bestee aan infrastruktuurprojekte, onder meer die opgradering van die paaienetwerk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meer inligting oor die projekte is beskikbaar op die munisipale webwerf (www.saldanhabay.co.za\/pages\/tenders-quotations\/supply-chain-documents\/supply.html). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plaaslike ondernemings wat tenders wil insit vir die projekte moet seker maak hulle is geregistreer op die Wes-Kaapse sentrale diensverskaffersdatabasis (www.csd.gov.za) in gebruik deur alle munisipaliteite in die Wes-Kaap, ook die provinsiale regering. Slegs 181 ondernemings in die Saldanhabaai-gebied is op die databasis geregistreer en geverifieer.<\/a>\n<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

. <\/span>Die Wes-Kaapse regering hou in November \u2019n veldtog in die Weskus en Swartland om ondernemings aan te moedig om op die sentrale diensverskaffersdatabasis te registreer: 10 November in Illingelethu, Malmesbury, en 11 November by die Louwville-gemeenskapsaal in Vredenburg.<\/p>\n
