Because no building\u2019s walls are build absolutely straight and gaps in the door will result in leaking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n .<\/span> Are the walls and shower pan straight enough to accommodate the stationary shower glass panels? Silicone will deteriorate and turn white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n .<\/span> Is the buttress pitched to the inside of the shower stall? Water runs downhill and if built incorrectly, water will dam up and eventually leak through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n .<\/span> Is the shower dam (the small little wall that separates the inside of the shower stall from the outside) pitched correctly? Because there isn\u2019t a frame under the door, only a polycarbonate sweep that attaches under the door, it doesn\u2019t stop all the water. The pitch must make the water run back into the shower stall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n .<\/span> Where is the shower head located?<\/p>\n\n\n\n It should never be located across from the shower door, but rather beside it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A shower head that faces the door will spray water right out the gap between the door and the wall or stationary panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ask for references when looking for a
