A special Cabinet meeting was held Sunday, 31 January and the following changes to the Adjusted Alert Level 1 Covid-19 were made:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Those who test positive with no symptoms do not have to isolate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 If you test positive with symptoms, the isolation period has been reduced from 10 to 7 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Contacts do not have to isolate unless they develop symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Cabinet also reviewed the resumption of schooling to full-time learning in all schools. Primary, secondary and special schools will return to daily attendance. The regulatory provision for social distancing of 1 meter for learners in schools has also been removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Western Cape Government Health has also reinstated its previous policy regarding Covid-19 contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
