As part of the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries\u2019 contingency plan the department called for communities and all other role players to assist with the clean-up operations last week. According to the department the crayfish pose no threat to humans or the ocean once placed back into clear water, only crayfish and other fish who have died and rot quickly pose a threat to the public.
