Eleven people were left displaced after a fire gutted their shacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Ward 1 councillor Siyabuelo Liwani, the fire broke out during the early morning hours of Saturday 6 May in an informal settlement in Middelpos. Though no injuries were reported the victims of the fire lost everything including their clothes, food and other valuables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liwani said the situation is dire and the victims need help from the community. \u201cWe have tried to get stakeholders, neighbours to assist last night so that these people could lay their head down,\u201d said Liwani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
