Every two minutes a child somewhere in the world is diagnosed with cancer, but less than half the world\u2019s children have access to effective care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This results in that those who survive cancer are often left with debilitating effects that can impact their physical development and ability to learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To give children a second chance at life the Uitenhage Lions Club registered with Cupcakes 4 Kids with cancer to host a Party of Hope. To host a Party of Hope provides the community an opportunity to make a difference by baking a tray of 24 cupcakes and donating them, which in turn will be sold to the public for a donation of R10 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Malgas Lions Club will be hosting a Party of Hope at the Pick n Pay Ipic Centre, Vredenburg on Sunday 5 November at 08:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donations will make a huge difference with all funds raised being used to educate more parents on the early warning signs of childhood cancer with pamphlets being distributed at the Party of Hope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
