{"id":48842,"date":"2023-12-18T06:02:05","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T04:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/weslander\/nonnie-offer-die-brug-op-20231213-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T16:23:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T14:23:05","slug":"nonnie-offer-die-brug-op-20231213-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/weslander\/nonnie-offer-die-brug-op-20231213-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nonnie offer \u2018Die Brug\u2019 op"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Op dag 10 van die werklikheidsprogram <span>Die Brug<\/span> het drie deelnemers \u2019n moeilike besluit in die o\u00eb gestaar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonnie Geldenhuys (56), \u2019n mede-eienaar van die Hopefield-padstal, het haarself opgeoffer om haar twee mede-deelnemers die geleentheid te gee om hul reis in die spel te voltooi \u2013 d\u00edt nadat die nuwe leier van die groep, Sam Marais, besluit het om Iana Strydom, Tina Linder en Nonnie op \u2019n staptog te stuur om antwoorde te vind. By hul aankoms by hul stoppunt moes die vroue \u2019n groot besluit neem oor wie dadelik die speletjie moet verlaat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soos Nonnie aan <i>Weslander<\/i> verduidelik het, was sy baie opgewonde oor die stappie. \u201cMet die aankoms was daar \u2019n kassie met \u2019n paar heerlike piekniek-items in, maar daarmee saam \u2019n briefie wat ges\u00ea het een van ons moet die spel onmiddellik verlaat. My hart het in my stewels gesink. Ek kon my hartklop in my keel voel. Ons het die briefie drie keer deurgelees om tyd te wen om ons gedagtes in plek te kry asook om oor die skok te kom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonnie se hart vir haar medemense het oor haar lippe gekom met die woorde <span>\u201cI\u2019ll sacrifice\u201d<\/span>. \u201cMy hart was stukkend, want ek wou ook so graag deel van die finale vlotbou gewees het. My droom was in skerwe, maar my hart het twee paar ontnugterde o\u00eb voor my raakgesien. Ek het die begeerte in hulle ook gesien om daar te wees en ek het besluit ek gaan terugstaan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonnie het reg aan die begin van die program in kykers se harte ingeklim met haar saggeaarde en omgee-persoonlikheid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>Die Brug<\/span> vereis 12 deelnemers om met hul kaal hande \u2019n brug tot by \u2019n eiland te bou om by die prysgeld van R1 miljoen te kom en te wen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoogtepunte vir Nonnie was die eerste dag en ontmoeting van almal. \u201cDit was \u2019n klomp besonder unieke, sterk individue \u2013 en die ruimte wat elkeen mekaar gegun het om te wees wie hy\/sy is, die natuurskoon, stilte, water, sonsopkoms, die wind tussen die bome was prentjie mooi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haar vriendskap met Larry was ook baie spesiaal vir haar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met haar deelname aan <span>Die Brug<\/span> s\u00ea Nonnie sy het baie lesse geleer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEen van die dinge wat ek geleer het, is dat jy op \u2019n gereelde basis vir jou familie, vriende en mense moet wys jy gee om of jy is lief vir hulle. Die lewe is kort en jy weet nooit wanneer jy hulle moet groet nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEk het nie geweet die dag van my staptog gaan my droom in skerwe l\u00ea en ek nie weer my spanlede gaan sien nie. Dit was nie lekker nie. [Ek] kon hulle nie bemoedig nie, hulle op-druk van liefde nie of gou nog ietsie vir hulle doen nie. My tyd was net om. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo, maak tyd vir mekaar \u2013 vir \u2019n laggie, vir \u2019n geselsie, vir \u2019n koffie, vir \u2019n kuier. \u2019n Mens kan met min baie
