The Western Cape\u2019s primary school athletes won the national track and field championships in Limpopo for the first time since the inception of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The athletes competed on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 March at the Oscar Mpetha Stadium at the University of Limpopo in Polokwane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With 16 schools from the West Coast participating, the team took home 32 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 18 bronze medals and, of course, the championships trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provincial Education Minister David Maynier wished the team well ahead of their departure last weekend and is delighted by their success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
