S.T.I.R Weskus is not just another cooking competition. It is a bold and exciting initiative designed to ignite high-school learners’ passion, develop skills and inspire the next generation of chefs on the West Coast.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The driving forces behind S.T.I.R. Weskus are Lientjie Blok, Welmarie Coetzee, Anene Loubser and Edmund Barkhuysen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 23 years of professional culinary experience along the West Coast behind her, competition organisers are delighted to have Loubser, “Chef Anene”, on board with her authentic “from-the-heart cooking style”. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to her there is a growing demand for trained and skilled culinary professionals, especially on the West Coast. “Restaurants and venues are struggling to find young chefs who are properly trained and passionate about the craft. There is a clear need for skill development and hospitality exposure among our youth.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S.T.I.R. Weskus is a high-energy cooking competition aimed specifically at high-school learners, offering real exposure, mentorship and incredible prizes. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A platform like S.T.I.R. Wes-kus can fast-track a learner’s culinary journey and place them several steps closer to their dream of becoming a qualified professional chef.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This competition is a challenge and a launch pad. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
