Ingredients\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the burgers\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 1 kg ground beef, preferably chuck\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Salt and ground black pepper\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Green bean fries\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 170 g fresh green beans or wax beans\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 2 tbsp light olive oil or flavourless coconut oil\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Salt to taste\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chipotle mayo\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 60 g mayonnaise\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 1 tsp tomato paste\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 \u00bd tsp chipotle powder\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Salt and ground black pepper to taste\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Burgers:\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Divide the ground beef into two balls per serving, about 110 g each.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Heat a large frying pan over high heat.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 When the pan is smoking hot, place the meatballs in the pan and press them down with a grill press, spatula or the bottom of a glass until they are thinner than 1 cm.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Season generously with salt and pepper.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Fry for about two minutes per side, or until the burgers develop a deep, crispy brown crust.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Green bean fries:\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Wash and trim the green beans. Pat dry with paper towel to prevent oil splatter.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Heat a large pan with the oil over medium-high heat.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Add the green beans and fry for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to absorb excess oil.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Season with salt before serving.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chipotle mayo:\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Combine the mayonnaise, tomato paste and chipotle powder in a small bowl. Season to taste (add more chipotle for extra heat).\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Serve immediately, or refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tips:\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Love cheese? After flipping the burger, add a slice of cheddar and let it melt over the patty.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For extra flavour, season the beef with smoky chipotle chilli and garlic powder, or mix a spoon of Dijon mustard and herbs into the mince before shaping.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
