To celebrate late former President Nelson Mandela, SAS Saldanha Unit decided to make a difference. They were put to a challenge to make ‘‘Jars of Hope’’ and help feed the learners of Middelpos Primary School, who are in need. This meant giving a jar of soup ingredients that can provide a warm meal for four people, offer some solace and hope, and may even bring a smile to their faces.
SAS members accepted the challenge and were able to fill in and donated 81 jars of soup ingredients on Wednesday 4 August to the school.
