Ruwaan Smith (left) and Samuel Makhele from Karitas Special Needs School in Vredenburg, represented the Western Cape in the Black Ball Pool at the South African Sports Association-II Summer Games. The event took place in Rustenburg between Sunday 26 and Friday 31 March. Makhele and Smith both made it to the top 10 and have been included in the South African Shadow team. Karitas would like to thank Sea Harvest Foundation, especially Allison Huyster for the their financial assistance. They would also like to thank William Huysamen for his sponsorship. The school is extremely grateful for the opportunity that has been bestowed on these two learners.
