Ek was dus geensins verras toe ek leer dat \u2019n groot deel van verslawing leuens, geheime en manupilering behels nie. Hierdie leuens kan so diep gewortel in verslawing wees dat dit meer as die verslaafde raak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leuns soos, \u201cmy probleem is nie so erg nie, ek drink net alkohol\u201d, \u201cdis tog wettig, so ek doen niks verkeerd nie\u201d of \u201cek rook net dagga \u2013 dis darem nie so erg soos ander dwelms nie\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hierdie leuns is \u2019n vorm van ontkenning en kan die persoon in verslawing vasgevang hou. Soms glo familielede ook hierdie leuens, omdat dit moeilik en seer is om die waarheid in die o\u00eb te staar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families sal ook leuens vertel en geheime hou, om die verslaafde persoon te beskerm maar hierdie leuns dra ook by om die persoon in verlawing vasgevang te hou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit kan vreemd en verkeerd voel om openlik oor verslawing te praat, maar geheime en leuens hou \u2019n persoon siek. Dit is soms nodig dat \u2019n verslaafde persoon die gevolge van hom\/haar dade ervaar, sodat hy\/sy die erns van verslawing kan verstaan. Ek s\u00ea weer, stilte hou jou siek. Dit is tyd om te praat.
