Two men, aged 22 and 28 years, arrested in the early hours of Saturday 4 November for unlicensed firearm possession are believed to be involved in an attempted murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police spokesperson Cpt Cyril Dicks said police spotted a vehicle in Cybille Crescent, Avondale around 03:00 matching the description of one that two male suspects in an attempted murder, which took place in Robinvale earlier that evening, were allegedly driving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTwo males were asked to step out of the vehicle,\u201d Dicks said. \u201cThey were searched, and a car search followed shortly. Police officers found a firearm under the seat, along with ammunition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The men were charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. An investigation is still underway, but it is believed the two are linked to the attempted murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
