This year the Women\u2019s Month commemoration was held under the theme: \u201cCelebrating 30 years of democracy towards Women\u2019s Development\u201d and marks the 68th anniversary of the historic march of thousands of South African Women from all walks of life to the Union Buildings in 1956 in protest against the introduction of apartheid pass. As Sub Council 1 we want to salute our diverse women in the different sectors of our society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the inclement weather conditions this month we also experienced some flooded roads and in particular in Klinker Street in Mamre, Napoleon Street in Saxonsea Atlantis and also within Duynefontein but I would like to commend the City Roads Department and Disaster Risk Management for their swift and prompt service to aid our residents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The City Human Settlements Directorate\u2019s Call Centre has increased its staffing to improve efficiency and enhance service delivery. The call centre agents within Human Settlements typically deal with approximately 30 000 enquiries per year, and the newly appointed call centre agents will significantly strengthen this service offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy strengthening and expanding our Human Settlements call centre team, we aim to significantly reduce waiting times, improve response and assisting times, as well as enhance overall customer satisfaction. We are confident that this expansion will help us meet the needs of many more residents and assist us in providing a greater level of service. \u2018The team of experts are able to assist residents with public housing rental enquiries, rental relief, housing opportunity applications and registering on the City\u2019s Housing Needs Database for affordable housing across the City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

invested over R460 million over the course of the 20 multi-year skills project which includes both the City and the National Funding Grant and encourages jobseekers to ensure that details are
