At the end of August, Little Seeds NPO, in partnership with Saxonsea Educare Centre, hosted a moving Women’s Month celebration at Saxonsea Community Hall, honouring elderly women for their contributions to Atlantis, Mamre, Pella, Witsand and South Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Seeds, known for supporting youth with reading challenges, continues to uplift Atlantis through literacy and life skills programmes. Their commitment to nurturing young minds reflects a deep care for the future of the community.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event, however, turned its focus to the past, recognising the women whose strength and service have shaped Atlantis. Guests were treated to a three-course meal and a programme filled with heartfelt stories and vital information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Alta Swarts and retired social worker Fatiema Isaacs shared powerful testimonies of surviving abuse and rising above adversity. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their courage and resilience moved the audience deeply, reminding all that healing is possible and dignity can be reclaimed. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christine Lewis, also a retired social worker from the City of Cape Town, added her voice and support to the occasion. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each woman received a gift pack sponsored by generous local businesses and the City of Cape Town (COCT). The organisers extended their thanks to Dr Maya, The Sass Wellness Spa, Valencia, Elizabeth Muller, Enid Martin, COCT and other sponsors who made the day possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event closed with full hearts, nourishing meals, and unexpected tokens of appreciation. More than a celebration, it was a moment of recognition, healing, and pride\u2014proof that every woman’s story matters, and that Atlantis continues to honour its legacy through love and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
