Daar is geen groot partytjie gehou om die kerk se verjaardag te vier nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ek kan nie anders as om te wonder hoekom nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hemelvaart en Pinksterdag is die geleenthede op die kerklike kalender wat waarskynlik die minste aandag kry en waaroor die minste opgewondenheid heers. Kersfees gaan met groot vreugde gepaard, Paasfees word oral gevier as die grootste en belangrikste gebeurtenis op ons kerkkalender, maar Pinksterdag \u2013 dit is maar net nog \u2019n Sondag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pinksterfees hoef egter nie vir een sekonde terug te staan vir die ander Christelike feeste nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trouens, met Pinkster het ons die absolute versekering gekry dat God se Woord deur al die eeue waar en betroubaar is: Hy is waarlik Immanuel \u2013 God by ons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus s\u00ea vir \u2019n paar bang en bekommerde dissipels op \u2019n dag dat Hy die Heilige Gees sal stuur om ewig by ons te wees en dan kom hierdie wonderlike woorde in Johannes 14:18 aan die beurt: <i>\u201cEk sal julle nie as weeskinders agterlaat nie.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarvoor sal die Heilige Gees sorg. Nooit hoef ek te wonder waar is God, hoor Hy my, sien Hy my nood, seer, probleme en my lewe raak nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met Pinkster het Hy sy intrek in ons hart geneem en bly Hy nou totdat ons Heer weer terugkom of ons na Hom toe gaan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat \u2019n ongelooflike voorreg, en dit is meer as genoeg rede om groot verjaardagfees te vier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
