Die ondersteuningdienste van die departement van onderwys in Kroonstad gaan al langer as \u2019n dekade gebuk onder voortslepende vandalisme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die kantoor van die ondersteuningsdienste, voorheen bekend as die kinderleidingkliniek, in Senekalstraat, Presidensia, loop sedert 2012 deur onder herhaalde inbrake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tydens die mees onlangse inbraak, op 13 Julie, toe die veiligheidshekke en buitedeure weggedra is, het werknemers besluit om hul apparate wat oorgebly het op te pak en die kantore te ontruim, hoewel die buitedeure en veiligheidshekke op 17 Julie weer vervang is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016 is die geboue deur die departement opgeknap, en geen inbrake is in 2017 ondervind nie. In Maart 2018 het die plundery van voor af kop uitgesteek, en personeel is raadop omdat daar nie daadwerklik deur die departement in hul belange opgetree word nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sedertdien is vensterknippe, waterpype en elektriese drade stelselmatig geplunder. Toilette en wasbakke is uitgekap, deure is gesteel, vensters stukkend gegooi en gereedskap en apparate gesteel of vernietig. Dele van die gebou is selfs met ontlasting besmeer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die vensterrame word nou met draad en nylontou vasgemaak. Een mans- en een vrouetoilet is bruikbaar, en lopende water in die gebou is beperk tot die kraan in die vrouebadkamer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boonop het bye weens die vervalk in \u2019n muur nes gemaa en hulle kom veral in die somermaande die gebou binne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die veiligheidshekke en buitedeure van die gebou van die departement van onderwys se ondersteuningsdienste in Senekalstraat, Kroonstad, is ook met die mees onlangse voorval van inbraak en vandalisme weggedra.<\/div>\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Alarmstelsel is in 2019-\u201920 aangebring, maar die diensverskaffer is nooit deur die departement betaal nie en dienste is gestaak. Daar is ook geen sekuriteitswagte op die terrein nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Werknemers van die ondersteuningdienste het ondanks vele beroepe op die direkte bestuur, asook die aanmelding van klagte, geen terugvoering ontvang nie, en geen melding is gemaak of die gebou herstel en beveilig gaan word nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die multidissiplin\u00eare span terapeute wat hier werk, lewer ondersteuningsdienste aan skole in die distrik en ontvang ook kinders en ouers by die geplunderde kantore vir diagnostiese evaluasies, terapie en konsultasies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns is getraumatiseer deur die voortdurende bedreiging wat die misdade vir ons veiligheid inhou, en dit is bykans onmoontlik om kinders hier met \u2019n rustige gemoed te help en veilig te laat voel,\u201d s\u00ea \u2019n werknemer wat verkies om anoniem te bly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

VrystaatKroon <\/span>het met verskeie belanghebbendes van die department van onderwys gepraat, wat die vandalisme bevestig, en het ook verneem dat die departement aandag aan die probleem skenk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Amptelike navraag is aan Howard Ndaba, woordvoerder vir die provinsiale departement van onderwys, gestuur. VrystaatKroon <\/span>wag steed op terugvoering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
