The well-known masters swimmer from Kroonstad, Barbara Fraatz (58), completed her tenth Midmar Mile open water swim this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was the 51st Midmar Mile, and the event was held from 8 to 11 February at the Midmar Dam near Howick in KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fraatz participated in the event for girls 13 years and younger, and women 31 years and older. Her specific category was that of women aged 51 to 60 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She completed her race in a time of 27:56, earning her the overall fourth place in her category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was, as usual, a fantastic event and I am so grateful to have completed my tenth Midmar Mile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell done to all the organisers of this prestigious event. It was wonderful to be back in the water with all the familiar faces,\u201d says Fraatz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thousands of swimmers of all ages and abilities participated in this world-class open water swimming event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
