Ek onthou ook altyd die teleurstelling wanneer dit verby was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die afwagting het altyd langer as die gebeurtenis geduur. Dit is soos Dawid se gedagtes in Psalm 131. Dit is amper of Dawid vir die Here s\u00ea dat die tye van opwinding, wat kom en gaan, niksseggend is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In vers 1 maak hy hom nie besorgd oor groot dinge nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hy los nie sy hart in die w\u00eareld om tydelike genot te verkry nie. In vers 2 lees ons dit is wat selfverheffing en hoogmoed beteken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit is tydelike dinge waaraan mense hul hart vasmaak. Die dinge van die w\u00eareld is nie blywend nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarom die oproep in vers drie om op die Here te wag. Hierdie woord \u201cwag\u201d in die Hebreeus (\u201cjageil\u201d) behels meer as net om te wag. Dit beteken om vreugdevol te hoop op dit wat ewig duur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarom die oproep om op God te hoop, want God is vir altyd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanneer die woord in die Ou Testament 40 keer voorkom, verwys dit na waardes wat by God l\u00ea en daarom ewig duur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die woord se Griekse metgesel \u201cagalliaoo,\u201d in die Nuwe Testament, is altyd in die toekomstige tyd. Die tyd wat nog moet aanbreek en dan nooit sal ophou nie. Ons moet ons bepaal by dit wat altyd sal hou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raak opgewonde oor die regte dinge.
