If your pets are staying at home while you are on holiday, make sure of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have somebody reliable take care of your pets. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that the people who take care of your pets, are animal lovers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduce your pets to their sitter ahead of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have your pets stay where they are familiar with their surroundings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be aware that going to an animal shelter for the holiday can be stressful for your animal, but it is better than being alone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure they have food and water.<br><br><h4>If your pet is missing<\/h4><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807SZH\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Make a social media post<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807RyE\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Post on your community groups.<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807pqG\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Notify your local animal shelter or SPCA.<\/span> <span id=\"U102586916807U6F\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\"> <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U1025869168071lC\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Make flyers and post them around your town or city <span id=\"U102586916807s1F\" style=\"font-family:'Nasdings';\">\u2013<\/span> not everyone has social media. <\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807DuG\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Speak to your neighbours. See who has CCTV cameras and ask them to check the footage.<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807t9C\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">Go and search actively <span id=\"U102586916807WJB\" style=\"font-family:'Nasdings';\">\u2013<\/span> your pet will react to your voice.<\/span> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span id=\"U102586916807iZE\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\">If your pet has a microchip, flag it as lost or stolen on the website.<\/span><br><br><h4>If you pick up a pet<\/h4><br><p><span id=\"U102586916807E0B\" style=\"font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;\"> <\/span><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scan it for a microchip at your nearest veterinarian or SPCA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Post on social media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you cannot host the pet, take it to the nearest SPCA or animal shelter. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you see any stray animals, please take it to the nearest SPCA or stay with the animal until help arrives. Make a post on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us try to keep all our pets and animals safe during the festive season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-if-you-can-help\">If you can help<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The SPCA urgently needs animal food for the December holidays.
