The body of an African male was found lying on the Erfdeel Road at Extension 21, Bronville, when an unknown motorist struck the victim and drove away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of the Bronville SAPS were summoned to the scene after residents witnessed the accident on 28 April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man was found lying on his stomach. He was still moving, but could not talk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Capt. Stephen Tha\u00adkeng, liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa SAPS, says preliminary investigations indicate that there was a driver and a passenger in the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey fled the scene on foot, leaving behind the vehicle \u2013 a brown one tonner Nissan with registration number CKD 821 FS,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police have towed the vehicle and stowed it as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tha\u00adkeng says the man later died while in hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA case of culpable homicide has been registered for further investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. An Okapi knife and a Samsung cell phone were found next to the body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is about 1,6 m tall, of medium build, dark in complexion and has natural black hair. He could be between 35 and 40 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
