After reading JC Erasmus\u2019 letter in the Vista<\/i><\/span>of 2 February, it was great having positive news about Home Affairs in Welkom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I have a friendly request that you please print my experience of the Traffic Department of Virginia as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I had to renew my driving licence in March 2022, but was sent home by an official at the door. I am 75 years old and use a walker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He explained that the system was not working and that it was no use to enter the building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He signed his name on my application and said I could use it as proof that I had been there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In May 2022 I went back and paid after the admin and eye test were done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Up to the day that I am writing this letter, I have not been phoned. Nobody answers the phone at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have been back a few times, but nobody has any news, even while their system is operating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It has been seven months now. All I have is a receipt and no driving licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Can we please bring this to the attention of someone in a senior position at the Virginia Traffic Department? <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" S.J.B.
