Thirteen runners of the Goldfields Multisport (GMS) Club took part in this year\u2019 Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They all made good times, with the top runner being Dean Todd with a time of 4:52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other top runners were: Nico Nortje with a time of 5:44; Louis Fourie, 5:55; Allen Simpson, 5:59; Hendrik Janse van Rensburg, 6:23; Rhyno Smith, 6:23; Theshni Appasamy, 6:25; Pedrie Erasmus, 6:27; Werdi Dodd, 6:33; Elizabeth Dodd, 6:33; Louis Massyn, 6:36; Hestie Niemand, 7:05; and Johan Koekemoer, 7:10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Massyn completed his 46th consecutive Two Oceans ultra\u00admarathon and Fourie was awarded his blue number for participating in his tenth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis race is not only a test of physical endurance, but also a test of mental toughness. We know that each of our runners has been training hard and tackled the challenges that came with an ultramarathon. We are proud of our team and are confident that each one of you will represent GMS with pride and determination,\u201d says Pedrie Erasmus, GMS chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
