The world-renowed artist Nkoali Nawa, born and bred in Thabong, has produced two more profound works to add to his impressive portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The piece, entitled Dumpers<\/i>, is influenced by the local community members in the township who usually throw the rubbish from their dustbins in public open spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis causes a serious health hazard to people in the community who reside near the illegal dumping sites, and also causes water to not flow properly during heavy rain storms,\u201d says Nawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He says the intention of this artwork is to raise awareness about the seriousness of illegal dumping sites as this has a negative impact on the environment and people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second piece, entitled Elderly Women<\/span>, <\/i>is inspired by the elderly women who still prefer using open ground fire to cook food at traditional ceremonies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSince new and advanced ways of cooking outside have become prominent, the new generation of women lean more towards using new methods and they no longer use the old traditional methods to cook at traditional
